The Italian Supplementary School in Singapore, in addition to the teaching of Italian culture and language during weekly classes every Saturday morning, also offers various extra-school activities during the school year.
ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSES
Upon request the School organises Italian Mother Tongue language courses in various international and local schools in Singapore.
Regularly during the school year, the School organises visits to Museums in Singapore, where Italian works of art are exhibited. Tours are conducted also in Italian with the students accompanied by Teachers and Italian Guides.
PLAYFUL EVENTS FOR THE YOUNGER CHILDREN
Regularly, during the school year, the School organises fun activities for the youngest children, such as visiting the Botanical Playground or a workshop with Casa Spaghetteria where children receive cooking lessons. Children are followed by teachers and instructors who speak Italian.
THEATRE & ART WORKSHOPS
Every two years, the School organises a seminar on the Italian Theater or Commedia dell'Arte with presentation of Maschere Italiane (Italian Masks).
Upon parents' request, the School organises sports lessons after Saturday's school lessons for children who want to play sports in groups.
CHRISTMAS, CARNIVAL AND EASTER FESTIVITIES
Each year, the School organises the Christmas Recital, the Carnival Party and the Easter Holiday. At the end of the school year, dinners with all parents and students are also organised to improve the collaboration between the School and Families.
